Shazzie, born January 23, 1969 in Yorkshire, UK, is a raw vegan and a prominent figure in raw foodism and the world of inspirational authors. Shazzie has written five books: Shazzie's Detox Delights, Detox Your World, Naked Chocolate (co-authored with David Wolfe), Evie's Kitchen and Ecstatic Beings (co-authored with Kate Magic). Shazzie is also the Managing Director of Rawcreation Ltd (trading online as Detox Your World)..

Shazzie has raised her daughter, Evie, on a raw vegan plus breastmilk diet to the age of four. Evie, who was born in 2004, is unvaccinated and a "free range child". Shazzie and Evie live in East Sussex, UK.

Shazzie has thoroughly researched and written about the subject of raising children on vibrant and alive diets, whether carnivorous, vegetarian or vegan. The majority of her findings are in her book Evie’s Kitchen (2008). She has been extensively interviewed worldwide on this subject and many people in the living foods movement have modified their teachings based on her research.

In addition, her book, Naked Chocolate (2005, co-authored with David Wolfe) changed the health food industry as raw cacao (raw chocolate) is now available in almost every health food shop in the western world. As a result, Shazzie has helped to grow the economies of Peruvian Fair Trade Federation farmers through her ethical business. Since the publication of Naked Chocolate, several celebrities have published raw chocolate recipes in their recipe books, such as Carol Alt and Alicia Silverstone.

Shazzie is also known for blogging, which she has done in several forms since 2000. This makes her one of the world's longest bloggers ever, attracting millions of visitors over the past decade.

Shazzie has been featured in the media worldwide discussing raw food, superfoods, breastfeeding and natural and ecstatic living. On one live news program she comically challenged a State Registered Dietitian on the questionability of natural superfoods being a valid part of our diet. On another radio interview she told a young scientist that she may be less uptight if she took an enema. Shazzie is known to bring fun and a touch of controversy into the world of natural health.
